Call for Submissions: Burned By Love

By Elizabeth Minkel

Most of us have suffered embarrassments and disappointments in love: lackluster dates, mixed signals, all those times we couldn’t muster up the courage to make a move. Burned By Love isn’t interested in any of that—the site, created by friend of SMITH Jeff Yamaguchi, is looking for nothing short of your “most intense” relationship story. Head over to the site to submit your anonymous confessions—talk about the girl you sort of stalked, or how you cheated on a guy with his best friend. And you can watch other peoples’ crazy love stories and submit your own here.

Burned By Love was created as a tie-in to The Gargoyle, Andrew Davidson’s debut novel. Spanning centuries and chronicling love stories from every corner of the world, The Gargoyle has been dubbed by the site as “the most intense love story ever” and “an Inferno for our time.” So submit your own story and check out the book—because you know how much we love a book-website tie-in.

Thank you for producing such a fascinating essay on this subject. This has sparked a lot of thought in me, and I’m looking forward to reading more.
