“Your Balls on Wolf Blitzer’s Head” Gives Personal Media New Meaning
Wednesday, October 4th, 2006
Nobody does it better than Jon Stewart. So leave it to Stewart, our nation’s most-trusted anchor, to tweak the bloomin’ age of user-generated content, perhaps when it needs it most. CNN’s new I Report could be user-gen’s Jump the Shark moment, in which the cheesy, mainstream media barrel onto the bandwagon without really knowing how, why or to what end. But don’t believe me, click this video below, possibly the best two+ minutes of your day.

I mistook the the “suggest an item” for this comment section . . . sorry, I will know better next time.
So here is the deal, I can not get the videos on the site to play, I am an above average user of computers, I also live on The Internet, so I do a lot of video viewing . . . but what I get is that silly Mac logo, the one that is blue and in a circle which does nothing on my screen . . . so what can I do to make the videos on this site play? I use Windoes XP Pro.

Sounds like you’re getting the QuickTime logo, which is odd because the videos are in the Flash format. Are you able to watch videos on YouTube? (Most of the vids on this site are simply embedded versions of stuff served up by YouTube.)
It’s just a guess, but there may be something in the embed code that’s telling your browser that the content is QuickTime rather than Flash (in some browsers, you can set preferences about which app to use when dealing with various ypes of content).
If you resintall the Flash player (or update to the latest release), it might fix the problem.
There’s also a troubleshooting guide here: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/
So is SMITH going to have the fellow in the video do a memoir entitled: “Teabagging Blitzer” ?
Or maybe just “Bag-dude—I rock!.”
