When I was in Africa, I was the Sr Training Manager and HR Manager rolled into one. When jokingly asked (to me jokes are half meant, btw) why people find it easier to approach me than our HR Director--they found her kinda cold and intimidating--I replied without batting an eyelash. Right in front of the HR Director, I said those 6 words. My HR Director just coolly nodded in agreement. haha.
