Six Word Memoirs about Work

Backstory

In my job with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, I work to ensure that oil spill prevention and response plans are in place for crude oil tankers in Alaska. The aftermath of the Exxon Valdez is still fresh in many Alaskan's minds, making my job even more important. I get to work with representatives of industry and the oil spill response contractors to make sure that we all know how to do our jobs well should the worst happen again. It's tough, but it's worth it.
