Backstory
I was thinking about both private and public sector workers who, after years of excellent service, are easily let go because they cost too much. Somewhere an actuary decides that, financially speaking, employee x being released would save the company so much money. It is only logical then that they go. Teachers at the top of a pay scale are just too expensive to keep and their value is constantly questioned. Surely someone else can do just as good a job for half the price. They'll fix that...NO TENURE. Anyone that thinks all this education reform/legislation to tenure and such is pure hearted politicians trying to equalize education is uninformed. It is about money. In the end, only money matters.
