aworkofartstudio says,

My father saved me one day at the cash register of his drugstore where I was drawing a complete blank on how to count back change. He calmly walked over after my patient customer had watched me suffer for about ten minutes and proceeded to visually show me the most accurate way to count back change. I memorized it and use it to this day.
