Kicked my a$$ because he cared

Chef David at a restaurant in Pittsburgh, literally kicked me in the seat of my pants during one evening's busy rush! I had burned an order of 'pesto twists' and then merely stood there with a dumbfounded look about my face. Being 18 and not really sure of where to turn, he yelled across the kitchen for me to get more done. I guess I didn't move fast enough, so he grabbed me by my shoulders and kicked me right square in my pride. Then her barked, You could screw up a one-car funeral.
I realized, about 10 years' later, he was on me because he wanted only for my success. He bruised my ego but polished my pride.
