She hired a formerly incarcerated person.

Backstory

I served 15 years in prison and when I was released I was ready to move forward and build a new life. I filled out countless job applications and was willing to do anything legal, but no one would hire a convicted felon. One day I went to the New Haven Reentry Roundtable and asked the attending service providers if anyone there actually hired a convicted felon. Only one person, Dr. Sandra Martin, said yes. She Created "One Million Americans, Ltd." to help formerly incarcerated persons. I was the first person she hired. I am now the managing editor of OMA's website, Reentry Central. She gave me a chance when no one else would.

It's great to know that there are people like Dr. Sandra who can give obviously deserving second chances to people like yourself. Congratulations on continued success after downfall.
