Backstory

My father is gifted in many ways. One of his dark gifts is the ability to knock his opponent out with a quick turn of phrase. In the tough business atmosphere of today, stress is at an all time high, our company is often on the brink of despair and I am on the other side of nearly every decision or plan that he makes. He drops an anvil or two on my head in the guise of a tough love remark and eventually, after he cools down and I've bolstered my argument, we find a compromise. It's a muddy road that we travel.
