First, thank you for sharing your written words, as the timeliness of them really touches me...Reminded me, personally, speaking from the "I" perspective, of the trauma therapy I've spent many years adapting and adopting.
Particulary reminded me (and I usually don't suggest or make recommendations, yet this one was so critical and crucial to my recovery that I needed to share) of Peter Levine's: "Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma" where I clearly recall that "Shaking" is a physiological and healing response. It actually can work and I know it is not easy.
Animals shake to release the energy, electrical charge, etc in order for it to not paralyze them in fear. Kind of similar to the human body's sometimes natural shudder response. I read the book and listened to the accompanying CD. Both were helpful to me personally. Best wishes.
