Aline says,

Makes for one hell of a mixed blessing :( Deep breath, blinders on (don't forget to exhale), baby steps. Accept an extra loving hand to hold to feel safe. Down regulate w/additional med support if you need to. Years of emotion and coping will need time, try not to push or judge yourself harshly. Sending hugs, calm.

KharisJo says,

Why feel shame for taking medication? people take all kinds of medications for all sorts of conditions. Look at it a different way - you're helping yourself to feel better and cope with life. Whether that's through medication, counselling, natural therapies or whatever, if it works for you that's great.

Although I understand the shame aspect there is no reason to be ashamed for getting help, you are totally worth it :)

Seasparkle says,

Courage and hope bring a future. The anti-depressants are for the depression, not for you. You're fighting, that makes you one of the strongest, bravest people around. You have a lot to be proud of.
