Have just been looking at some websites re verbal abuse (bullyonline.org is a good one)as I have an unavoidable verbally abusive person in my circle of acquaintances. Many small incidents then one major 7 months ago and I still feel the hurtful effects. I've now established some very tight boundaries regarding her. Verbal abuse is as harmful as physical and more difficult to identify. If you're being abused arm yourself with information and if needed, seek help.
