Yeah, I heard it on NPR on Friday. The Chef came was very compassionate and said he would pay for it himself, that everyone deserved a last meal. Often, he said, they will ask for something that has nostalgic significance. Apparently, the prisoner that was just executed had ordered a lot of extravagant dishes and then ate none of them. Threw the warden (?) into a snit--viola! End of last meals.
