Backstory
We experienced unspeakable evil here last week. A woman was leaving a mall with her 10 year old daughter. A man came along and she was forced to drive him to a remote area. She was tied up and had to watch him rape her daughter. Then he stabbed her to death. The daughter escaped. Add the 17 year old and the 14 year old in Brunswick, GA who just shot a 13 month old baby boy in the face killing him when the mom had no money to give them while she was out walking with her baby. She was shot too. The 17 year old shot the baby deliberately because the mom did not have money. I don't want them dead, but I want them to rot in a prison forever.marymc says,

@favepeep: What if extermination were substituted for murder? Having spent the better part of a thirty year career in psych nursing and the shrouded, shadowy side of our culture and humanity, I have a little different perspective than most community members. That doesn't make me feel differently, it just makes my reasoning based on many, many personal experiences. Make no mistake either, the evil/crazy parties were more often the ones who remained free to continue their reign of terror on others. Something's gotta give. Society doesn't owe everyone and we're certainly running out of resources to feed the hungry and save the fubared. Research shows that there's no "fix" for the particular type of perpetrator of this memoir. We certainly don't owe them. How about we put our limited resources into helping the victims? Maybe prevention and education? Early intervention? Even early lifetime incarceration? Yes, truly, if given the same opportunity that Mary suggests, it would be so very easy.L2L3 says,
