As much as I hate to say it, I think we're going to be here another month. We really need to get a car. We can either move right now and not be able to afford a car or move in a month and be able to afford both. Nathaniel's first paycheck is only going to be for one week, it's not enough to pull off both. It's very frustrating.
Property taxes are going up in a lot of Philly neighborhoods and it's reflecting in rent. It's hard to find a good neighborhood, a decent property, enough space (not that we need a ton, but at least two bedrooms) in our price range - and most of our options are far enough away that we would absolutely have to have a car. That, and it's just been hugely inconvenient to have to take public transportation everywhere. Fortunately, my parents live a block away from a grocery store and I can leave Constantine here usually to run over and pick things up on foot, but that won't be the case when we move.
these six words leapt out from the sermon I heard in church this morning. Thanks Pastor Jodi. (I attend a Baptist church which has two lady ministers on the pastoral team.)We can live with peace and joy no matter...
