Backstory
This was both my 39th post AND my 39th year. I'm restless, depressed and trying to find way to reinvent myself. No mid-life crisis; just not quite satisfied at the superhero I so desperately wanted to become as a youth. TKO: i agree with both mary and L2L3. also, give some thought to what you said yourself - even the smallest gestures are huge. i truly believe that. so even small acts of kindness are huge, INCLUDING yours. there are probably many things you do EACH DAY that you don't even think of as acts of kindness, but they are nonetheless. and they ripple outward.Dragonflower says,
I wonder if being 39 is a little like the teenage years? What I mean is that I can remember feeling out of sorts and unsure of the future at each juncture. Looking back now, I can see how that was a rather waste of energy on my part. Those were some good times! Wishing for you that you can see that now, at least some of the time, to get you over the hurdle you are facing so bravely. Enjoy today, and then see what tomorrow brings.Then just repeat! Someone mistook me for a 39 yr old last week. And I thought WOW! to be 39 again. I do, however, understand what you mean. I've always felt a bit uncertain which way to go in life.
