Backstory
Two separate instances. The first was from NumbrOneAunt, who wrote a check to the American Cancer Society for our Relay for Life event. Truly amazing, and thank you NOA! Secondly, last night I was roaming around Home Depot, just killing time while my truck was being serviced. I was told by a friend that Home Depot had pink and black work/gardening gloves with the pink ribbon. I inquired about the gloves. I was told they only had one box left. Immediately, not even knowing how many we're in a box, said I'd take all them! The lady said, "Wow! You must do a lot of gardening." I replied by explaining that I was purchasing the gloves for a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, and tha the money was coming out of my own pocket. She quickly tallied up the total on her cell phone and explained that it would be over $300! Yikes. Now what did I get myself into?? She then said without hesitation that Home Depot is a huge community supporter and that they would cut the price in half, which they did! I walked out only paying $150. Obviously I hope I can sell these high quality gloves at the street fair for our fundraiser...I have 30 pair to sell!

I am sure they will sell. I bought a pink umbrella once. I've had it now for years. And I bought a recycle bag from Safeway that's pink. And a pink Beanie Baby. I had a pink non stick skillet for years until it started sticking. Those gloves will sell like hotcakes! Go, jl!!notjustagirlintheworld says,
