They always laugh at my goals

Backstory

I often verbalized that I want to be debt free by the time I reach 50. I didn't say retire...just have the house paid off. People frequently just roll their eyes at me. Guess in less than years from now, the joke will be on them. I *will* be debt free by the time I'm 50. I believe it.

Dragonflower says,

I wouldn't laugh. I like your plan.

canadafreeze says,

Good on you - freedom has many faces:-)

MO_Thoughts2 says,

I like your plan. People don't realize how much just a little extra towards the payment helps.

NumbrOneAunt says,

don't understand why anyone would disparage such a goal! the bank where i have my mortgage has a plan where you can make your payment bi-weekly instead of once a month. somehow this cuts time off of the mortgage term. My payment is automatically deducted from my checking account, so they just deduct half of the total payment every two weeks. you might want to see if your bank offers this.
