Some of you may remember when large department stores had candy counters. It seemed any kind of candy was available and you could buy 25 cents worth and have quite a treat.
Alexanders in Paramus, NJ. Right in front of the door. Every time we went I would stare longingly and Mom never stopped. Not once. I couldn't figure it out. I knew she had money in her purse. How could she NOT buy candy???
I knew Alexanders in Paramus very well as I lived near Rutherford, NJ. I shopped the mall in Paramus and never failed to bring home candy for my kids. It was a great treat and the candy was top quality. So many choices. Can't find that anywhere today.
these six words leapt out from the sermon I heard in church this morning. Thanks Pastor Jodi. (I attend a Baptist church which has two lady ministers on the pastoral team.)We can live with peace and joy no matter...

I grew up in the country so we had a country store. Walk a mile, spend your quarter, walk the mile back home. Loved it.maryjane31 says,
