I hear ya on this! Very few people remembered my 40th birthday. Most, seemingly just 'forgot'. Birthday wishes after the fact wasn't nearly as 'happy', if you know what I mean.
And on a side note, I just so happened to leave a comment which included the word 'lame'...not even realizing you had just used the same word. Seems like we're on the same wavelength today...

Real cards are the only cards. E-cards are a nice extra in my mind.

Dragonflower says,

Lovelylizard must be sending out wavelengths today. We both commented on Deans squirrel memoir at the same time and used the same word/idea there too !

I understand how you feel about the belated e-cards. But I do like to get birthday texts. I don't mind those at all, fir some reason!

notjustagirlintheworld says,

ecards are lame in general...

lovelylizard says,

Some ecards are hilarious (www.someecards.com), but just for fun. I agree with DDC, they are a nice addition to a real card. DE, I like birthday texts also. The person at least makes the attempt at what passes for "contact" these days and it can be somewhat interactive and real-time. I find a belated e-card, with the apology, really insulting. Please, you know and I know that you forgot. Let's just move on.
