I hear ya on this! Very few people remembered my 40th birthday. Most, seemingly just 'forgot'. Birthday wishes after the fact wasn't nearly as 'happy', if you know what I mean.
And on a side note, I just so happened to leave a comment which included the word 'lame'...not even realizing you had just used the same word. Seems like we're on the same wavelength today...
Lovelylizard must be sending out wavelengths today. We both commented on Deans squirrel memoir at the same time and used the same word/idea there too !
I understand how you feel about the belated e-cards. But I do like to get birthday texts. I don't mind those at all, fir some reason!
Some ecards are hilarious (www.someecards.com), but just for fun. I agree with DDC, they are a nice addition to a real card. DE, I like birthday texts also. The person at least makes the attempt at what passes for "contact" these days and it can be somewhat interactive and real-time. I find a belated e-card, with the apology, really insulting. Please, you know and I know that you forgot. Let's just move on.
