Backstory
this is going to seem like i'm ripping off DE's memoir and backstory, but a while ago i went to an online dictionary to look up the definition of dynamic as a starting point for a six. while i was working mine out i checked and found DE's memoir. decided to post this anyway - doubt DE will mind :) anyway, the merriam-webster definition of "dynamic" is "pertaining to physical force or energy." how utterly inadequate to describe our DDC! here's my definition (and please feel free to add yours!): steadfast in love and open-hearted enough to share her story; a source of inspiration to others even in the midst of pain. deeply admired for her strength even when she is struggling and fears that her strength is failing her (because no one can be strong all the time.) much-loved member of the SMITH village.

Of course I don't mind, NOA! Your memoir is lovely. And I agree totally agree-- my pocket oxford american dictionary def just didn't do justice to DDC and didn't inspire me at all. That's why I preferred the synonyms my dictionary provided. And I wanted to hopefully make zippy DDC smile just a little.notjustagirlintheworld says,
The name is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg, it's the part you don't see that is so amazing and inspiration in all her humility and humanity in the hardest of times.DynamicDbytheC says,
I just saw this one. Death a lot of work. And here I thought trying to stay alive was work. I have tears in my eyes. Thank you. That really wasn't an iceberg you were seeing notjustagirlintheworld, that was me getting pulled under and coming up for air. Then I saw the iceberg and clung to it until all my friends came for me. And I count all of you at Smithmag as part of the rescue boat.
