Did you post something on CL?

DynamicDbytheC says,

I had such a great experience last year when we were remodeling our home. I hauled very little to the dump. I gave a lot of stuff away free, like sinks, fixtures, etc. There is a free section. And I met a lot of great, young, eager people who were thankful (that who generally comes for the free or low-priced items). Used sensibly, it is a great choice.

MO_Thoughts2 says,

Craigs List is great for selling items, however, I use my local Freecycle to give away stuff. Yesterday I posted 4 pairs of jeans by son outgrew / didn't like. I would rather give them to someone who needs them than give to Goodwill or Red Racks who sells them. Like DDC noted, the receivers are thankful.

L2L3 says,

My only thought about CL versus Goodwill is that really poor people are probably more likely to have access to Goodwill and less so to CL. I actually posted a notice for a guitar player. Got a local response in less than an hour.

Sold 3 light fixtures and gave away 2 ceiling fans just last week on CL. Still have a medicine cabinet and garden bench. I've met the nicest people.
