Backstory
Thinking about the matrix movies, and the Lord of the rings trilogy, I realized that both are about a world with machinery as the enemy, as is the Terminator trilogy. Most people are not aware that the Marines and the Army have robotic fighting machines as large as a Humv, armored against gunfire, autonomous robots that never refuse an order to kill, human troops are being removed from the loop. These machines will kill whoever the instructions say to. They had this 20 years ago.
