Backstory
Well, this was beyond my expectations. The van has had a major meltdown of the electrical system and computer. Turns out an old battery that I replaced last year had leaked onto the "brains" of the van and slowly fried it. Seems like a crappy design to me, since it wasn't an evident problem and the position of the battery above this important and fairly delicate hardware seems pretty stupid. The incredibly bad news is that the parts will take two to three months to be manufactured and shipped from Germany! And, even crummier? The cost is around $9,000.
