Sitting outside... not my brightest idea?

Backstory

Did I mention it's 3am, 18 degrees out and I live on a street where the cops are called daily (sometimes hourly)?

Being the neighborhood watch ?

MO_Thoughts2 says,

I live in a safe small town, but in the old neighborhood I would walk after work (11 or so at night). I would walk down the middle of the road. The first few times the cops saw me they would stop and ask if I was OK. Always a yes ... just winding down after work. One cop finally asked me why I didn't walk on the sidewalk. Told him walking in the middle of the road gave me more time to see what was coming at me -- like stray or unfenced dogs which was my main concern. He smiled, shook his head and told me I was a weird one, but smart. :-) He would see me other nights, flash his spotlight on me, and say "hey how's my favorite streetwalker".

I guess so.... I just couldn't sleep so it seemed like a bright idea (and 2 of the 3 animals followed me out) as opposed to waking up my little sister by having my computer on in my room.
