OMG, that is disgusting looking, Sag. And yes, I know you are just a babe in the woods, but I figured you were old enough to have the kind of "floaters" i envisioned, the ones that often happen by ones forties when you get these odd floating shapes appearing in your line of vision on occasion. And most of the time you can ignore them, but sometimes they are all you notice. So, the Six fit, in my imagined scenario.

Great memoir - one word gave many different meanings. Normally I don't comment when I'm not sure, worried I'll get it wrong. Glad I did this time - this might help reduce my 'commenting' anxiety lol

first thought, eyesight. second thought toilet bowl. then saw the photo, third thought- i have never heard of anyone in Australia eating a meat pie this way before. green mushy peas on top, yes, but swimming in soup,,,, perhaps this is a Sydney variation of the dead horse (pie and sauce)? This is definitely about the shapes that are in your eyeball. Re the poo, there are (I'm led to believe) floaters and sinkers. I wonder if Dr. Karl has ever been asked why some poo floats and others sink. I'd be curious to know the answer.

I admit my grade school mentality went to poo, my darker side went to death (fish, people floaters) and that does not look good (but neither does shepherds pie...yumm).

I don't think I'll find anything like that in my area. I can't even find Pho noodles or decent Asian food around here.
