There's been a lot of commentary about this lately in the news. Technology, it seems, is crushing common courtesy. Just because you can leave a message does not make it okay that you are suddenly canceling because "something came up". If set plans have been made, one should not cancel because other, possibly more appealing, plans have presented themselves.
