Backstory

My oldest daughter leaves tomorrow for a 4 day trip to New York with her choir to sing in Carnegie Hall. I am so excited for her -- I remember my first parent-free (yet safely chaperoned) trip and it is one of my best memories of high school. I hope hers will be as well.

New York City! My dream. I hope she has a good time. You are a great mom for letting her go and experience this. Where did you go in high school, lillybrook?

I am so excited for her; it's an amazing place to see a performance, let alone be in one.

DragonE - I traveled with an international youth choir between junior and senior year. We performed in Germany, Austria, Hungary, and The Netherlands.
