Backstory
so, just packed lunch and thought of something that came up in english today that made me think: We were discussing the book we read and why the author wrote it and we side-tracked to why people write in general. A few people said for the money, but that's not it. Rarely do people make much money on their writings. People write to express themselves, learn who they are, release stress, write their history for future generations. . . Asking why I write is like asking me why I like to read, play games, or draw; it's part of me. I like being able to make up a world of my own and I can make the people do whatever I want them too-- well sometimes the characters do as they please, but they are mine. All mine. Not my sister's, mom's, the President's. . . just mine. I write to entertain myself, though maybe someday my writing will entertain others. My Six-Word Memiors already entertain people and they help me organize my thoughts. I have found that when I am angry I can rant about how I feel and why I feel that way and by the time I have finished I don't see why I was angry in the first place. Writing is a great thing. It is neither good or bad, but it can be used for good or bad. . .

Love your backstory:-) so very true.PrincessLief says,
thanks! I tried explaining why people really write and the class just blew me off, and I was interrupted, so I just shut-up. I wish I could write better for English, but I'm not really passionate about what we have to write onLoon says,

You are way ahead of your peers Princess...I loved this one! Congrats on the feature!!!Dragonflower says,
I like to write because no one can blow me off or interrupt me. I can express my whole thought, or my whole upset, anything. Because I am quiet, I often get interrupted or not taken seriously when I speak in groups. And you are absolutely right, PrincessLief, your words are your own. Have fun with them.

so correct about everything.three-monkeys says,
I loved the memoir and the backstory! I have always been a much better writer than a speaker. I'm always saying to myself, I should've said this or that in the heat of the moment. But with writing, I always get it all down and manage it in a way that I never regret. Good luck, keep writing!PrincessLief says,
Thanks everybody! I'm the same way three-monkeys. I always think of the right thing to say after it is too late.I'm excited but nervous for my newest writing assignment. My art teacher is having me write a letter to the Missouri Congress to ask for state funding for the Missouri Fine Arts Academy. My letter will be posted online to be the example for other students to write to congress to ask for fundings. I'm excited for the opportunity to help so many people, but at the same time I have to get it right because it will be seen by so many people and will affect so many people

the back story is actually one of my facebook statuses. After I posted it I realised that the main idea of the post was a perfect six-word
