Try to enjoy the solitude. Sometimes it just takes a little bit to get used to the quiet and empty house. Give yourself a moment for everything to calm down. I used to just wander around for a while in the house, then do something, like clean the sink or do dishes. Then I'd feel ok again. Strangely, looking out the window helps for me. Seeing the trees and the leaves blow in the breeze. Or hearing the birds. At night it can be spooky, but turn on some lights and all will be fine.
Thanks guys for the comforting words. Talked with my sister for about an hour on the phone that helped. Got plenty of lights on. Think I will take jl333 advice and jam some. Soft jams.
