Well, that was yesterday. And only until the afternoon. It was wierd. It was 70 degrees in the am; then the cold came in, and it was freezing (my kind of freezing, not yours). And temp dropped to 50. I was out in my sandals doing errands and then poof, cold, cold, cold. Today is dark and dreary, like once upon a midnight dreary, while I'm pondering weak and weary...dreary.
I have another little cold today.Sneezing and watery eyes and chills. Its the back and forth weather that gets me. Plus I forget to wear socks. I've mentioned that before. I have them on now and feel much better. So, staying home today, cleaning up my memoirs, drinking tea, wishing for a Dr. Pep, and eating oranges. :)
I've got a bag of clementines I'll share.... also have Dr. Pepper (thanks hubs!) and tea, so I'm not going anywhere.
All the ambition I had today was to clean the bathroom. Other than that, I haven't done a whole lot. Watching hockey now and all is right with the world!
Hockey!! How are the RedWings doing? Nashville seems to have been losing lately. I don't have TV, so I follow on Twitter, but haven't really gotten back into it after the lockout. I think Nashville might be out here to play the Kings soon (or maybe have already!).
Your husband is soooooo nice to go out in the snow and get you something you want. My ex would never, ever, ever (ever!) do that. OR, this was th kicker, if he'd go out for something, he'd run into friends and then not come back home for a while and usually forgot the thing I wanted. Sad story, huh? Well, he's an ex for a reason.
I keep saying that "tomorrow" I am going to do suchandsuch around the apt, but I don't. Now, it is Superbowl Sunday tomorrow, and I say, "tomorrow I'll do that" since I don't have TV and haven't any invites. Everyone will be glued to thier TVs since SF is playing. I just want to go through my papers and shred them. It's an easy job, I just keep putting it off.....well, tomorrow for sure!
PS, MotorCity, thanks for the virtual clementines! They had some tangerines at Whole Foods yesterday that I AlMOST bought. Got oranges instead (from CA, but I don't think they were organic, they said traditionally grown (or something like that--didn't think much about it until I got home--I feel a little mislead. Should have said straight out- Non Organic - especially in Whole Foods, my gosh....). Oh well, I try for organic and local.
Well, right now they're losing to the Blue Freakin' Jackets... the Blue Jackets! It's been a sloppy game and I just yelled at the tv. LOL
I don't have a Whole Foods that is close enough to be convenient, so I just go to a grocery store for most things and I try to go to local fruit markets for fruits and veg. The clementines are just from Kroger though, but they're really good!
My hubs is a good guy and I'm very blessed to have him. Took me until 40 to find him, so I guess it's all good! :D Sounds like you are better off with an ex... some people are just incapable of treating their partners right. Sounds like you had yourself one of those. :( Good riddance to bad rubbish!
I'm not a big tv watcher, though I have recently found BBC's Sherlock and I'm hooked. Hubs is the tv guy, but he gave up on the Wings for now and is playing video games. Perhaps that's why I'm online so much! LOL
It’s a sad, all too familiar story: harsh, distant, alcoholic father, sensitive, shy daughter always seeking his love and approval. Although there were flashes of kindness, most of my dad’s feelings had been buried long before. Even as...
