What kind may I ask?

canadafreeze says,

Basic white sandwich with a cornmeal dusting.

Dragonflower says,

Cute choice of words!! I can almost smell the fragrance of that delicious bread.....

I have super small kitchen, but think I shall buy a cookie sheet that fits my oven, and bake some chocolate chip cookies today. The GS seem to be taking their own sweet time getting their cookies to my neck of the woods!

AQScott says,

Making homemade bread is so therapeutic...and makes the whole house smell amazing...enjoy :)

MO_Thoughts2 says,

Autumn ... see if your store has Andes mint chips. They make the best mint chocolate chip cookies.

CF -- i've never tried making bread. Quick bread like banana bread, yes, but not real breads. Do you use a bread machine or just time and the oven?

canadafreeze says,

Time and the oven. Sometimes a quick savoury bread, like beer bread or focaccia. You're right about it being therapeutic. I find cooking, in general, does that for me.

accidentaltourist says,

I'd come live with you, CF, just for the bread...if you didn't live in the tundra. :)

canadafreeze says,

It's beautiful in the summer ... but then, I don't bake so much in the summer ...

jl333 says,

You can bake for me anytime!

canadafreeze says,

You got it, JL

Dragonflower says,

Added mint chocolate to cookie dough. You are right, Mo_T! Delicious!

canadafreeze, I am so impressed you bake bread from scratch. I used to. Loved the waiting time as the bread rose. I stopped baking, cooking when I moved into studio. But I've decided, why not start up again? I have a great view outside the kitchen window! Thanks for inspiration!

canadafreeze says,

You don't need much room to make bread - counter, a big bowl, a couple of clean cotton tea towels and time. I tried the no knead in the NYT - not nearly as satisfying, but still good bread:-) Bonne chance.

Dragonflower says,

Thank you for the encouragement. I shall give it a go.
