Dedicated collector of finely crafted metaphors.

Backstory

To be honest, it's my primary interest when talking to anybody is how they employ metaphor when appropriate, not to judge or anything, just because I feel as if people's adaptation of, creation of and usage of metaphors is more telling about their personality than even their religious affiliation (for example) might be. It's the gritty truth. And we need 'em all. More and better metaphors. Encapsulate our world with so many labels that we can finally and eventually see that the 'thing' and its eclectic and wide-ranging set of labels are quite different things from each other. To use another's very apt metaphor, the menu is not the meal.

As a kid, I collected all kinds of this and that, toys, baseball cards, on and on. Now, the only thing I collect (basically) is books and metaphors, ideas. Now, I'm more of an archivist than a collector, I guess.
