Two skip nine dif double. Damn!

Backstory

I have a very strange way of remembering numbers. I'm usually pretty good at converting my weirdness thought to normal speak. However, at work this week, I slipped. Was talking to one of my coworkers and she asked me about a serial number number and I rattled the above. She looked at me quizzically and then I realized my mind and mouth didn't translate. I then said "20754". She laughed, called me a dork, and asked (again) isn't it just easier to remember the number. No...here's my thoughts...starts with 2, skip a space (0), the first and third numbers add to 9 (7), the difference between the first and third numbers (5), and the last number is double the first one (4).

I do this with most numbers I need to remember. My daughter's phone number is "up up down skip again", my boyfriend's "76", and the list goes on .......

Hmmm, the only # I think I can decipher for you daughter's phone # is "0"....but then I don't know if skip always means zero to you. ;)
