Oh my gosh, I just have to comment.....a woman after my own heart.....Except mine is silverware. And not even real silver - stainless. Here's the deal. When I was a teenager, Betty Crocker had point things on their boxed cake mixes, ect. Angel Food cakes were 3 pointers! With these points, you could buy nice stainless steel silverware in pretty patterns.
I baked my way into a whole set, complete with serving utensils and carving knives. I even have a special box to house them. My Rose is the pattern. I have iced tea spoons and demitasse spoons too.
I ask myself every day, Why don't I use them? We used to, for special occasions, but in the last 16 years, not so much. My daughter thought they were real silver, the way I took care of them. She tells me to use them. I use one fork, one knife.
It is just that they are so pretty. Crazy, huh?
