Gifted in Alabama? Good luck, kid.
Backstory
I just heard a report that the gifted education budget for the entire state of Alabama is $1 million. As a person who has worked with and around schools for much of my career, this both dismays and embarrasses me. I guess the philosophy for gifted education and Alabama must be "If they're really THAT smart, they can figure this stuff out on their own."
