This is very true but the cool thing is words of forgiveness can sometimes restore the friendship. If the forgiving words seem to have no impact on one friend, no worries... the person speaking them will have healing begin in her heart. Works everytime, even if you don't feel it right away.
Friendships and most relationships end, either in a climatic event (argument, death, etc.) or more often they just slowly drift away (emotionally, physically, etc. - "we just grew apart" an often heard phrase). Get used to people lying, cheating, betraying; don't worry you will do it to. Enjoy your time with others and alone. If you find yourself without others; find what is inside yourself instead.
