The first time I ever had room service I was seventeen, babysitting at the Awahanee Hotel in Yosemite. The kids parent's said order anything you want for dinner just keep them happy. We just got burgers and chocolate pudding but the tiny bottles of ketchup, white table cloth and flower in a vase ( all wheeled in by a rather hot waiter) hooked me for life.
It is a bucket list item...you don't have to do an expensive dinner to feel pampered. Some of my favorite experiences have been coffee, toast and the San Francisco Chronicle before a business conference.
