Believable: unbelievable no longer means unbelievable

Backstory

It's become a worn-out exclamatory adjective used to express awe and shock. But believable awe and shock. Save unbelievable for disbelieving liars, cynics, and hypocrites. Unbelievable!!!

That stated, I believe I'll defer to Believe on the meaning of unbelievable.

Believe says,

Even I am confused.

Things that are not Believe may, or may not be Unbelievable.

Staraj says,

I believe YOU.

Believe says,

This inspired my latest post in questions.

Dragonflower says,

Alice's father told her that he often believed six impossible things before breakfast.

From A in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll

Staraj says,

Doubters thought the Man of La Mancha was unbelievable. Not he. Here's what he believed. Eventually, the doubters believed, too.

To dream . . . the impossible dream
To fight . . . the unbeatable foe
To bear . . . with unbearable sorrow
To run . . . where the brave dare not go
To right . . . the unrightable wrong
To love . . . pure and chaste from afar
To try . . . when your arms are too weary
To reach . . . the unreachable star

This is my quest, to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right, without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell, for a Heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest
That my heart will lie will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest
And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage
To reach . . . the unreachable star

Believe says,

A quote lovely song, Staraj.
