Milking cash cow at both ends.
Backstory
I live in an area of the country where a certain new industry is generating a lot of publicity. There are many voices on both sides of the battle. My ground is neutral, I prefer it that way because of my job in the media. But last night I had a chance conversation with a colleague and realized that she is not only reaping the benefits of the job boom (via her husband's fantastic increase in available work), but she also is part of a lawsuit filed against the industry for alleged damages.Wow. Talk about hypocrisy.

Will her role as a beneficiary of the industry not exclude her from the suit class?accidentaltourist says,
It might have, except that his work is only indirectly related. The lawsuit is directed at a specific company...he happens to work for a different one, but it's the same industry. He is getting a lot of work because of the growth in the area, though.Seems to be a case of a lot of people with their hands out...and if nothing drops into it, they are going to find a way to reach into someone else's pockets.

True, but I also don't know of many people who, when told they're part of the class benefiting from a suit, would say "No thanks, we're good."jl333 says,
