Three years ago I was dying from morbid high blood pressure. For some months I couldn't make it from my bed to the kitchen. Doctors were not giving me hope that I would live another year. An experimental implant was placed in my chest which ultimately helped. However, in the beginning I needed to muster up an incredible amount of willpower just to stand up. Had I not chosen to force myself up, I am certain I would not have survived. My life's mantra is "Get up." We are often stronger than we think we are. Life is often a choice; if we're hungry to stay alive, we'll probably last longer. If not...
