Backstory
I am not Jewish. But I shared something else in common with the attendants of last night's event in NYC: I do have a grandma who cooks, and I have an undying love for food."Beyond Bubbie: Tales from the Kitchen" was thrown in collaboration with Smith Magazine as a celebration of great cooking, family, and priceless life lessons.
Inspired by so many great food tales, L2L3 decided we should check out Katz's deli before heading home. It was a great stop and well-worth the infamous New York cab fare.
I left last night feeling closer to a community I admittedly don't know much about - with their stories filling my head and the best pastrami reuben sandwich of my life filling my belly.
