Sometimes meeting their gaze is enough

Backstory

Today it seemed everyone could tell I was in a fine mood, most got out of the way. My oldest daughter however, decided to test my patience instead.

Kids know how to push the buttons. Take a breath and breathe.

maryjane31 says,

The worst time of my life was when my kids were teenagers. Thank God they are grown and back to normal. Whatever "normal" is. Doubtful that I personally will ever regain my own sanity. That's when my doctor put me on anxiety pills. To get thru the teen years.

Wench says,

When we were kids, my parents fought a lot. When my sister tried to break them up once, my dad chased her out the front door, punching through the glass as he went. Then he yelled at her for getting out of the way of the glass. This type of anger was extremely uncharacteristic of him, but still pretty awful.

So I'm hoping it wasn't that bad, at least.

TheUnknownComic says,

That's horrible Wench. In my household our kids fight each other even though I've told them many times not to fight unless they could confidently and reliably knock the other out so I didn't have to hear alot of crying/whining etc. (they are both girls btw)

Thanks to an injury I've had to change the position I sleep in; its not going well, and I'm fighting the change mentally and physically. So every once and awhile I wake up really pissed off for no reason.
