Did I mention I walk barefoot?

Backstory

As much as possible. It's illegal in schools, but I got through the day like this once:) I feel so much more connected, down to earth, and just different when I'm barefoot. It's harder in the wintertime but most other months, I only wear shoes when I desperately need to, like grocery shopping when other shoppers would be minded by my attire.
The park, around town, while running; fair game.

Dragonflower says,

Are you an Earth sign, by any chance? Capricorn, Taurus, or Virgo? I'm not a huge astrology person, but know the Earth signs really like to be connected to the Earth and feel more comfortable and grounded when they can touch it. Do you notice you feel better living on the first floor, either in school or at home?

Great observation on your part, Layne, irregardless of your birth sign. Living in ways that make you feel more like yourself are important.

Layne says,

Taurus, but I never really thought much of it. That's so interesting though! A few times a year I get the chance to sleep outside with nothing but a sleeping bag and it's the most perfect way to spend the night. There's something so peaceful about it. The loud waves in the summer that spuratically inturrupt the rhythmic crickets singing on full blast under a starry sky that makes me feel so small, but part of something so huge. I just love it:)
As for walking barefoot too, it's feeling the land beneath me, whether its sidewalk, grass, mud, rocks or sand gives me this wholeness. It's funny too because I live in the wealthier part of town, I'm really well off I think but my parents never really would give me a straight answer to that, I look presentable and neat, almost preppy... But I love being barefoot to have that connection nonetheless.

Dragonflower says,

I always loved discovering things about myself that helped explain my preferences. For me as a Capricorn, it helps me to accept things. I just always want stuff to make sense! Your description of staying outside is quite lovely.

Wishing you a good week with many barefoot moments.

Layne says,

I've being reading a lot into the Taurus description tonight and learning a lot that I don't know how it makes sense but I believe it about myself.. I think. Thank you, I plan to go for a barefoot walk tomorrow if I can:)

Hope you put together this week's puzzle pieces so the puzzle picture makes sense!

Dragonflower says,

You are your own unique self, Layne! Thank you for your inspiring words.
