Odd as this may be, I don't wear jeans. I would have to go through my clothing to see if I actually even own a pair. I, in fact, don't wear pants often. This memoir actually belongs to my mom. She is about a month post surgery from the removal of melanoma. She does wear jeans, but hasn't been able to because of her incision. Today while taking her on an errand she told me that she missed her jeans. That wearing knit makes her feel very vulnerable.
But maybe that is why I don't wear jeans. Maybe life is best lived vulnerably.
