On a different note, but similar maybe. I eat out by myself frequently. I used to go to restaurants where you are seated by a host. They would always say, "Just one?" with the emphasis on "you are all by yourself, poor you." It would make me feel bad. I tried to not let it, but it did. So when I moved to my new town, I just go to places where I seat myself. I feel much happier. I decided, like you, to decline all the "just one" invitations for pity parties. In fact, tonight is Sunday, which is one of my nights to eat out to avoid the Sunday night, end of weekend blues. I got a new scarf the other day. I'll see if I can add a pic of it to one of me memoirs. Just for you!
