My advice, which I know you didn't ask for, is don't give up too soon. Subsequent marriages can be hard because of higher expectations (I think). I wished I'd been more gentle and more patient. I felt less like a bride the second time and that made me power-hungry. Hard to explain, but like I wanted the recognition I was the wife. (ex wife was pretty overbearing with my husband, due to the children).
