Well down here in sunny Florida we are having an extremely warm January. Unfortunately we are also having a flu epidemic as well. Trying to be so careful such as washing hands, avoiding crowds, and seeing the doctor at the first sign of it. They claim it is a dangerous flu. Yikes! That, we do not want.
Yes Dean we both do. I am a great believer in good old Vitamin C. After years of working with Doctors I got a lot of good tips. Vitamin C is probably the best you can take either by pill form or in juices. Orange Juice is good every morning. We also take the Centrum Silver. It is not a cure, but it can help lessen the duration of the Flu or colds.
I try not to eat out so much during flu season. The other day, the barista sneezed while making my latte. He did all the right things, turned away, sneezed into his arm, washed his hands after, but still... I didn't drink it. I debated a long time too. Didn't ask for a new one because he was the only barista and sounded like he had a cold.
The big change I've noticed over the years that has helped me is the simple thing of wiping the grocery cart handles with antibacterial wipe. At first I thought it was silly, but once I started doing it my colds stopped too. The other day I didn't, and wham, I got a cold. First one in years. There are prob other factors, (like the barista guy) but I find it interesting the one time I just grab a cart and go, I get sick. Take good care!
these six words leapt out from the sermon I heard in church this morning. Thanks Pastor Jodi. (I attend a Baptist church which has two lady ministers on the pastoral team.)We can live with peace and joy no matter...

Big fan of hand sanitizer, myself. Kept me healthy the last few flu seasons. That and not touching strangers. ;)
