L2L3 says,

I'm proud of all of my best friends but it has nothing to do with their sexual orientation, which I would never use to distinguish between any of them anyway.

PrincessLief says,

i don't normally distinguish. One of my gay friends has been shunned by a kid at our school because he is gay and athiest, and I just wanted to support him and my other friends that I don't care if they are gay or not. I'm not proud because they are gay, I'm proud that it doesn't matter to me what orientation, race, or anything else people are, unlike many kids at my school and a lot of people everywhere

Dean6805 says,

My best friend in the world (aside from Jen, of course) is gay. He's brilliant, funny, caring, generous and is fiercely loyal to those for whom he cares. His sexual orientation doesn't define him; his humanity does.
