While I was on vacation for my birthday with my daughter, we were watching an old "What's my Line" rerun. She had, of course, never seen this show. It was from the early 60s. A mystery gues comes on and signs in, and the panel (also celebrities) are blindfolded and try to guess the mystery person's occupation. It was even in black and white!
Anyway, my point, is that one of the people on the panel was Dick Clark. I looked at him and said, ohmygoodness, that can't be....can it?
I immediately thought of New Years Eve this year. So, so sad. Some people just can't be replaced. I know Ryan S will try, but he really doesn't stand a chance.
RIP Dick Clark. You were the best. The honest-to-goodness best.
these six words leapt out from the sermon I heard in church this morning. Thanks Pastor Jodi. (I attend a Baptist church which has two lady ministers on the pastoral team.)We can live with peace and joy no matter...

I KNOW... I can't imagine what countdown will be like. Even last year, with his limited speech, he was there! Happy New Year.Dragonflower says,
